My name is Laurie Fischer, and I am honored to say I get to be a part of a great staff that not only put students first, but value the opportunity that they get to have partnering with such a fantastic community of supportive families. Enter to Learn, Leave to Achieve is the school mission. This is what encompasses our purpose every day. This is only possible with the partnership with our families and community to support our students’ development. Our approach is founded in the fundamental philosophy that all students are unique and have distinct needs that must be met for them to be successful. Each year we continue to focus on community, enhancing learning experiences for all, and continuing our traditions. Our staff is committed to providing a positive learning experience for all students. Work hard, take chances, and be kind are three basic principles that should be practiced daily. If we all do this, there is nothing more that is needed. These are the driving force behind a school climate and culture that puts people first and allows all our stakeholders to feel a part of Freedom and to have a voice that truly makes a difference! As Freedom Hawks, we are in this together. Collectively supporting all students, collaborating to ensure at the center of our community is a school we are proud of, and one that we know far exceeds the status quo, both in terms of what we do for children, but also for each other.
